Two background images?

I have a slide where I click on a dropdown list and select one of the items. I needed to change the names on the dropdown list, so I made a change to the background image (background15) in Photoshop. After I changed it in Captivate I found that it only changed it for part of the slide. When I scroll through the timeline it starts with the changed background image, but then changes to a different image (where the dropdown list pops down). Looking in the library I found the 2nd half of the background (background16). I can change that image, but how do I get it in the slide. The background only allows me to change one image.

When I right click the background image and choose edit with Photoshop it opens it up with a different name. Do I save it with the new name, or give it the name ''background16''?

Two background images?

Hi there

Try dragging the desired Background from the Library and dropping it onto the slide as an image. Then right-click it and choose Merge into Background.

Two background images?

Good try. But it replaces the first image with the one I was trying to put as image #2. I lined it up on the timeline where it changed. The second one is still there. I tried putting both images on, but now the mouse is gone.

Hi again

So you are actually wanting to see the ''background'' change during playback? If so, just insert the image and time it appropriately.

The mouse is probably just covered by another object. Ensure it's enabled and at the top of the Stacking Order.

Cheers... Rick

Works great, thanks. I still think it is weird to have two background images on the same slide without an easy way to edit them.

Thanks again.

Yeah, it's weird. Sometimes Captivate captures part of an animation that way. Just one of those once in a blue moon quirks I suppose.
